Need help moving camera in design windows??

Hi there. I am really new to this and I am wondering if there is a way to move the camera in any of the design windows (XY, ZY, XZ, NOT IN THE 3D WINDOW). For example if I am working on something that is longer than the window itself, and I need to move the camera along the item from one end to the other. How do I do that?
