Default check object integrity?

Hi,

some programs always expect closed polygons of their 3D models.

But by cutting operations or deleting surfaces you can easily create an 'open mesh'. Is there a way to check whether an object is 'closed'? This means filling the object with water it will not pour out at any place (I hope I could express that clear enough).

I think about selecting an object and then run the function to check and mark the vertices of open edges. I have no idea how important this is for other AC3D modellers.

Thanks and Regards
Karl-Heinz

Karl-Heinz, a few months ago, I wrote to tell you of the integrity checking functions within Rhino for correcting mesh errors. Did you get a chance to try them out? These can be used even in the restricted demo version. Similar functions within AC3D would be a great boon.

Dear Mike,

I appreciate to hear from you again!!!
No, I did not check the other program up to now. Learning the setup of aerofly 5 took a lot of my time. But I'm afraid I have to try it, since I hardly see a chance to get it solved otherwise.

Best regards
