Default 3d view resolution

how do i make the resolution in the 3D view higher? right now it seems to be at a defualt 640x480 i want to make it at least 1024x768. when i save a 3d model as a PNG image i see jaged edges.

You could maximise the view by pressing space.

If you want to get a nice image with shadoes and reflections etc, you can render your mdoel at any size with a raytracer like Povray.

Ok i did this but when i render on povray i get shadows, how do i get rid of all the shadows?
