Default Wavefront .obj inconsistency

I've found some inconsistency when importing a specific .obj file. Meshes are imported correctly but surface materials are not. The wrong color is applied on a few of them.
That happens with ac3d ver.5 and ver.6 as well. The surface materials are defined as colored only, they have no textures.
The very same .obj file gets imported correctly into Blender with all surface materials recognized withouth any glitch. That means to me the .obj file is correct and carries no bad data inside.
Did anyone else have similar problems?

Confirmed, and after exporting 40 models to use in AC3D only to find out they are useless in Ac3d, I'm pretty ticked off!
