Default Tiling textures

I'm a bit confused with the "tile texture" possibility AC3D gives us ...

If I use "set texture repeat/offset" for an object with a given texture, that works fine in AC3D but no tiles changes are exported within a 3ds or OBJ exported file ...

Same if I use the UV Map plugin.

In fact only the Direct X exporter works, but is that the only format we can export to if we want tiled textures ?

Plus the UV mapped surface seems to never change accordingly in the TCE, if it is tweaked with the "repeat/offset" feature or even the UV map plugin ...

Can someone help my mind to become clearer on that point ?

Thanks.

Default Re: Tiling textures

the tile texture repeats the texture in texture coordinator, so you can repeat the texture over on the same surface. Say for instance you want a sand water or brick wall texture on a surface without stretching the texture out, the tile texture would simply repeat itself.

In my opinion its similar to texture repeat/offset but simpler to use
