Question Help with modeling a Sheet Metal Screw?

I have come across a problem while attempting to model something that appears, at first glance, to be something simple, but has me stumped. I posted this problem earlier (Modeling a Sheet Metal Screw), but I didn't phrase the title as a question. "Luuckyy" responded with a suggestion that I might start looking for a way to solve my problem with Wave3D, but I have explored this and haven't figured out a way to make that work.

I would appreciate any help anyone could provide.

Thanks!

Does your model use textures mapped to the mesh??
If so, then there are numerous photoshop tutorials on making a screw texture.
Then you would simply map the screw texture to some polys in your model.
