Beveled top disappears
Hi all,
Have done a perhaps funny shaped object Its a textured scenery part for Virtual Sailor. It is triangulated. So far so good. Would like now to bevel the top, thats OK, however the "lid" is taken off. What should I do better? Thanks, Reino. |

The red line indicates that edges of that polygon cross - which is not valid
You could try reducing the bevel distance although it looks like this may not help because the original shape is very narrow in some places |

Somehow the bevel function does not always work.
Couple of days ago, I wanted to bevel a quad, in order to make some planes windscreen. The beveled quad was then corrupted, showing those red lines. The beveld surface was not planar to the original. It was rotated somehow in one corner. the opposite windscreen did work ok with bevel... Using Makehole, did the trick.
