Very, very nice model, it's a considerable improvement!
I absolutely love the XM8, I've drawn a lot of inspiration from that rifle over the last few years. Do you think it'll ever go into production?

Thanks, yes I am not quite finished, and the shoulder rest definitely needs work I agree, I was just a little eager to get it out.

Thanks a lot! I think I read somewhere that the xm8 was canceled, but it looks very cool, so I hope something like it will be used.

Great model...
I have a question, what about the line of site for the aiming rectile.
It looks like your line of sight is obstructed with the carrying handle?
Just curious...

Perhaps that's actually a bayonet placement, I've seen similar constructions on older weapons. It is set fairly far back, however. It'd have to be about as long as a short sword. But that is a good question about aiming. How exactly do you accomplish that?

Wink Re: yay my newest model.... -RIFLE

good questions, well yes that is a laser sight, and I'm not sure if it will be implemented. The thing is, normally there would be a scope, or at least iron sights on top of back, highest part of the "handle" however, in the game I'm modeling it for, the default rifle, (which is what I'm hopefully replacing.) neither has, nor needs a scope of any kind, so for right now I'm just leaving it blank, because that's just Tremulous' style.

Thanks a lot.
