Extrude along path
I'd love to see an "extrude along path" feature in AC3D.
It would basically work like this: Figure 1: a Disk and a Line Defining the Line as our "path", we could extrude the Disk and get this: Figure 2: extruded Disk, subdivided in 3d view. This exercise was done by hand --- I started on a plugin to do just this, but I'm having problems getting the rotations of each extruded edge right, so have abandoned it for a while. Thought it would be a nice-to-have in the app at any rate... Dennis |

Mmm, roller-coaster track, cockpit framework, etc. I could really use that to save hours of fiddly work.

Great news!
Thanks Andy. Guess it'd be cheeky to ask for a hint on when? Spinner

Andy,
Thanks great news. Fingers crossed for saveable background files. This week I've had the use of a much more expensive software and I've noticed how much time it saves and how much more productive it is. I can fit in half an hour here n there without wasting that time positioning and scaling three backgrounds over n over. AC3D is crying out for it and so am I. Spinner
