Smile Getting Started

Having read a number of the threads I am still wondering if I have the Xplane 10 Plugin installed correctly. I have placed the Support.tcl and Supportmac.p files in the plugins folder of AC3D along with a copy of the command and dataref files, both lifted from X Plane 10. Should I now be seeing an XPlane Export link in AC3D or I am I to use the Wavefront OBJ export function? I am a complete newb to all this but learning fast. Hope some one can help.

Thanks. Mike

The X-Plane plugin will add extra menus once it's loaded. The Wavefront obj format is not the same as the X-Plane obj so you need to use the new exporter.

Check the menu Help->About-plugins to see if it did load. If not, check the console for the messages that AC3D prints out when it starts - it may have failed to load.

Thanks for the info on the Plugin Help file, here is the print from that file with no sight of the X Plane Plugin. A bit mystified by it.

Have you also installed the datarefs and commands files?

I assume you are using a Mac as you mentioned the mac version of the X-Plane plugin - ensure you have the plugin and the .tcl file in the correct plugin folder.

Andy, thanks first for helping out. I have indeed got a Mac. I have installed (placed) the Command and dataref files in the plugin folder alongside the .tcl file and .p file. There are no other txt files in the plugin folder makes me think they are in the wrong place? I am positive I am doing something wrong just cannot figure it.
