are you refering to extruding surfaces?
if you are, ac3d already has that covered. |

Jeff's csg/boolean plugin does that.
You could always make a rect, surface->make-hole then extrude - to get the same shape. Andy |

3d modeller
Hi,
I've written a 3d primitive modeller at work. It can do boolean operations on any number of tetras, spheres, cones, cuboids and planes. I don't think I can give the source away, but maybe I could arrange to release a plugin if there's demand for that. I don't need it, since the modelling capacities of AC3D are so great. Only thing I'm missing is animation, so I had to use Milkshape. And it's a real pain to me.
