Question Texture Mapping and UV Coordinates

Hello!

I have always been under the assumption when you apply a texture on an object in AC3D it automaps the UV coordinates. I am working with a program that only accepts .dae import and my objects are not showing up in their game editor.

Asking the Dev's she told me the following: Did you map these and add textures hon? Without the mapping coordinates for the textures it won't load.

Is there something Im missing with AC3D to do the above? Any help would be appreciated. They are running .dae 1.4.1, I believe its the same version as AC3D. I know it is for Modo and Im having the same issue.

AC3D objects have a default texture map but when you start editing the object, adding or removing surfaces, this will be changed. You can use the TCE to fix/set the UV map.

If you set an object to have a texture (AC3D menu Object->Texture) then the Collada file will have that and texture coords in it. Try it with a simple shape and look at the file. If you send a simple file to the devs, they might tell you why it's not working on their system.
