just hit W on the keyboard with your mouse in the main windows or 3D window and it will put it in wireframe mod.

No its not that.
The wireframes in any one of the ortho windows vanish and wont appear again, ie Top view has wireframes but sidewiew doesnt. They disappear if I zoom a view after inserting a vertex. Razor, thanks m8 but I've rtfm. This is the problem that started as I (and others) followed your tutorial. Its covered in my thread at TW, admitadly under my old sig. Its covered in depth in my thread here but so far I cant get any advice. Spinnr

Thanks m8, Did that several weeks ago. I've tried reinstalling, restoring with the laptop's system CDs then reinstalling.
What I think I need is some help from the folks making it. The problem is consistant on three different WinXP machines, one trial and two paid for AC3D installs. The other two guys have given up on AC3D but not me, yet. Reinstalled AC3D will not accept the purchase code numbers to unlock it now too. Surely only the folks here can help me resolve that problem as well. Spinner

1) What video card are you using?
2) Are you creating your own model or are you loading one in from scratch? 3) Are you typing in your registration code exactly as it was emailed to you, including special characters? |

1-Intel Extreme Graphics2 for Mobile, they're in a few laptops. Tried both the original drivers AC3D once worked with, and the latest from Intel.
2-Doesnt matter which model. Quickest way to make them vanish is to create a box, select two corner vertex, insert vertex, then zoom any ortho window. The wireframes will vanish in that window and nothing will make that window display wireframes again. 3- :x Spinner

I have seen that kind of *vanishing* behavior but only when working at the extreme levels of the Snap Grid (.001 setting) and try to zoom in. (Most often it seems with the Left View Window.)
Sometimes *Selecting All Objects* then *Fitting All Objects* will bring it back. I normally work at a Snap Grid setting of .1 and Draw Grid of 1. Don't know if this is same problem as yours .... griff |

Griff,
Thanks for the tip. Selecting in Object mode, panning the object out of view, then F to center did work to reclaim the wireframes in a test for me. So you may have given me a work around. I'll try resuming a model I was working on and see how I go. Spinner
