Is it possible to create something like this withinin AC3D, I mean render wise without going to another program?

Render-wise, no --- at least not with that quality.

However, this certainly looks possible with AC3D + POV-Ray... there's a POV-Ray guide in the tutorials section that can get you a good way there...

I have seen that robot around before. In fact there is a tutorial on how to make it here http://www.3d-canvas.com/3dc-robo-tutorial/index.htm.

I am sure it would have been rendered in povray.

On a different subject, when will AC3D V6 be appearing? Be interesting to find out what extra tools we can look forward to playing with.

Unfortunately, that tutotrial is not complete. Any other way to do this besides Povray. Thanks
