A lot of times when I try to join two surfaces I get a diolog window telling me that they are not "adjacent". I have tried snapping the verticees :?: together and making sure the shape is "flat" still no workee. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

The vertices on the edges that will be joined must be shared for combine to work.

No - I haven't heard from Woody - I hope he's OK.

After you have snapped them together, select "object | optimize vertices" then you can combine...

Wow - Thanks, sounds like a good addition to the manual (unless it's already in there)
