Default How to make a sail

It has been a couple of years since I made Sydney Opera House in AC3D, I did it the hardest possible way, aligning every vertice, it took ages.
Can anyone show me how to use extrude along path to make a beautiful, ultra smooth sail object?
If yyou post any movies, mpegs or movs would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I use a mac (G5)
I have been playing with extrude along path but the methodology escapes me, there is a tutorial on this in the tutorials thread but it is an unplayable .AVI file (I can play most .AVI files but not this one - it's a Windows world

I have achieved some success since posting and have manage to make a 'template' sail which can be copied and modified. I'll continue until the "voila!" moment.

Thanks for your input.
