Default Applying repeating tiles

I am having a problem applying repeating patterns to an AC3D model destined for X-Plane.

It's a hanger and I have a small section of siding, stone wall and shingles. I open TCE, select, for example, the roof, draw the box around the shingles and one copy of the shingles is applied to the roof. What I need to happen is that many copies of the shingles are applied to the roof giving a realistic size to the individual shingle tiles. At the moment the entire roof is covered by only 5 shingle tiles!! It should be in the region of 300.

Changing the repeat/offset doesn't seem to help I still only get one copy of the texture.

I have to be doing something wrong, but I can't figure it out.

Can anyone help please.

Thanks
