Default how do i attach a rotating part to a rotating part?

how do i attach a rotating part to a rotating part? for example the 707 gear doors on the fuselage fold in half as it opens. so far i have the inner half opening but the outer half i need to attach to the inner half so it is folded when opened:

You need to attach a rotation axis to the end of the inner door, then attach the outer door to it.

of course, but how do i attach a rotation axis to the inner door and how do i attach the outer door to it?

is there a tutorial that i am missing?

Mike,

you need to move the animation group for the outer door into the inner door animation group. Here's an idea how that would look in AC3D:

thanks peter,

the main problem is that i didnt know you can click and drag things in the hierarchy tab because apparently it only works if you drag something to an object.

did you see the big DC-8 upgrade? its still using your airfoils

Yes, you basically need to drag the animation group onto an object in the target group. Also be aware that it must be BELOW any rotation/translation commands of the target group. You can build rather elaborate animations that way.
I built animations with a dozen nested groups - no problem for XP.

Yes, I saw the update. There's excellent airfoil data available btw. You can search for DSMA-87 (mid-semi-span) or DSMA-128 (inboard) and the DSMA-277 for the 4% extended midspan airfoil.
