Cool Is it possible?

To get the insides of objects textured? I am working on a gun, (original huh?) and I made the silencer/emitter part, (not sure what its called) the front part hollow by basically extruding the front back into itself and deleting the back part, (which doesn't always work, because than it sometimes becomes invisible from the insides) and so i found a nice metal camo texture to put on it, but the inside is not texturing. So 1.) How do you/is it possible to texture the inside, and/or B.) is there some better way of making it hollow than extruding backwards that will fix the problem?
