Default rendering tutorial needed!

I have the following applications that could render with ac3d:

blender
povray 3.7
maxwell render
lightwave

So far I have not succeeded in setting up rendering for any of them. I have had to export my ac3d models and then render in the other application. I think that there is an absolutely desperate need for a rendering tutorial on how to set up cross application renders. I like ac3d. This is a big drawback.

Thank you.

Default Re: rendering tutorial needed!

Woody (thanks again if you are still out there) posted this great tutorial at http://www.inivis.com/forum/showthre...ghlight=povray It helped me do some good work before moving to Swift3d (now defunct but still usable) using .3ds export from AC3D. I have had better luck moving work from AC3D to an external program that lets you pose and render from there. Blender is probably the best supported with development, tutorials, and capability, and it's FREE!!!!
