Default UV Mapping

Hi guys..
I am a beginner with AC3d and want to ask, how I can make an UV MAPPING.
I want to create 2D mapping of my 3d object, paint it with paint.net and import the new texture to the objects..

Can somebody please give me a hint how to do this? Or another link?
Do I need a extra tool or can I do this with AC3D?

For example.. I have a ball and want to give it stripes in different colors....

Thanks friends...

(the search function did not give me a useful result...)

Default Re: UV Mapping

You can do this inside AC3D. The menu item you're looking for is the "Texture Coordinate Editor" or TCE.

There are a couple of tutorials that might help you:
