Default align to axis

i have created a flat polygon model of the side of a building. when i look at the plan view i see that not all of the vertices are aligned to the z-axis as i'd like before extruding. i tried to mode groups of vertices to the axis but its not perfect as some are a little off so when i extgrude certain parts the difference is clear to see.

is there a quick way i can align all the vertices to the axis without having to take each individually and use 'move-to' and set z=0. i can't select all of them and use 'move-to' because they arent all the same distance from the axcis hence only the centre point gets moved to z=0.

any help gratefully received!!!

sorry if i've missed something obvious. i'm quite new to AC3D

Yeah, just select all your vertices and scale to "0" on the Z axis. You can also use the auto-align feature, but it will also put them at the center axis point of your scene.
