Default WCC: Local Swimming Pool

I decided to draw my local swimming pool. This is just the basic model so far, details will come soon (chairs, air conditioning, railings, boxes, clocks). This is actually turning out to be easier than I thought, that is only about 30 minutes of work right there. I have to think of an easier way to make the Lane Lines though. Just one detailed lane line slowed down my computer so much that it almost crashed.

Looks nice for a simple model. Did you use the noise tool for the water?

Yes, I did use the noise tool for the water, it doesn't quite look realistic yet though. I'll have to tweak it a little. I just found out about SuperColdMilk plugins for AC3D, I need to recompile the ones I use (noise, fur, extrude w/scaling) for Mac (My Mac is at least twice as powerful as my PC). (I'll have to learn the tcl language first)

Hey, it looks pretty good so far. It almost makes me wish it was summer so I could open my pool haha. The tool I have the most fun with has to be Greeble. It makes it so much easier to add details.

Do you you know how to make custom greebles? I don't, but it would help in a lot of my models. I love the Greeble tool as well, you sure can get good detail in models, ever notice them in movies? Sometimes it's pretty obvious the CGI guys use it.

Make an object you want to be the Greeble (or a group of objects and merge them) then go into the Object Property Editor and put //CUSTOM_GREEBLE in the data field. In the greeble tool, select "Use Custom Greebles". That ought to do it.
