Default Warning of false virus reports with F-Secure anti-virus

9th Dec 2004

A number of customers have let us know that their anti-virus software F-Secure reports AC3D as infected on install.

We are confident that this is not the case and that the F-Secure software is in error. The virus definitions were updated recently and this is when the false infections started to be reported.

This appears to affect Charter Cable and other ISPs that provide the anti-virus software to their users.

The authors of F-Secure have been informed of this problem.

If you run F-Secure - you should update your definitions or download the latest virus definitions from:

ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/anti-virus/updates/fsupdate.exe

(Thanks to Scott Straley)

Please be assured that AC3D is checked for viruses during and prior to release.
