The only thing to really is reassign the right texture to the object.

Exactly. Just re-texture the object.

It's best to do it "part by part". Select each part, remap it in TCE from one particular angle and align it to the proper part of the texture.

For sides which are perpendicular to the side you mapped it from, you can then select just those parts in Surface Select mode, deselect the others and return to the TCE and re-map those from a better perspective.

One question I might also ask is, where are you getting your texture files from, and how are they constructed? The way a texture is laid out can both help and hinder the texturing process.

guys you really don't expect i'd do that with a 6000 surfaces/polygon or that'd be the jigsaw puzzle game of all time. but i did my researches as well and i stumbled across what is called "uv-map unwrap" tool, i'll just investigate more..

It's not a "jigsaw puzzle" if you approach it correctly. Large areas of your object(s) can be textured easily in a few seconds each, provided your texture graphic is set up to accommodate it.

I'd have to see what you're working with, and also what you're seeing on the TCE, but my guess is, you simply don't know what you're looking at, and it seems like mission impossible right now. (not to castigate you for it, because I understand your confusion; I been there!)

The good news is, there's likely a solution for you. You just have to understand the texturing process, which, with AC3D, is absolutely the easiest way to do it. None of the other 3D programs I've used have come anywhere close to the power and (relative) simplicity of the TCE.
