But the problem is when import the model in the engine nothing is to seen,
the problem is with the both engines, i create a model with milkshape
exported it as collada, et voila the model is here! a little to big but are there..
I have seen there are no update for this plugin (for AC3d) this is bad, I have purchased ac3d 2 week ago, and i seen this plugin is abandonned?

Collada plugin abandoned - er no! Not sure what give you that impression.

Don't assume that just because the collada file doesn't work with one loader that it won't work with others. Collada can be extremely complicated so some loaders make simple assumptions based on the output of the coders 'favorite' modeler.

There may be a bug with the AC3D Collada output but many people have been using it without problems. There may be a simple change that will get this working for you. Perhaps try outputtin a simple cube in AC3D and Milkshape and comparing the two files by eye (in a text editor).

Do you get any errors when you load it into visual3d? Does Visual 3D require any special layouts in the collada fle e.g. a specfic hierarchy etc?

If you are still stuck, you can send me some sample files that you have and I'll take a look.

Hi Andy!

I Don t know how the engine programmer use for the model the collada format,
there are many other better also, AC3D for example!
However if export the collada model, then import it in visual3d or s2engine
the model is not to see, i will take a experiment as you say compare the file from milkshape and AC3d, i will send you both then you could look yourself.

Thanks for the answer !

regards

Hallo Andy,
What i have seen in the both plugin, from milkshape and ac3d, is that milkschape collada is the version 1.4.1, from ac3d is the version 1.4.0, i don t know what is the difference, from the both version,(from the code) maybe there is a little bit changed in the export algorithm?

i have had a similar experience and i can tell you from now that it would seem your model is rigged (have skeleton for animating it around) where ac3d wouldn't give an error message but wouldn't display the file either. the problem with the collada plugin in ac3d is seriously being mute when it should talk to us andy.
