All quad sphere

Is there a way to create a quad sphere in AC3D? This sphere I downloaded from turbosquid, but it would be nice to be able to make one in the resolution you want, and subdivide up instead.
A quadsphere gives much better finish at the poles when subdivided than the standard sphere in AC3D.
Is it possible to have an option of making a quadsphere as well in AC3D in later versions Andy? Or is it not possible to code something like that all the time there isnt an option already?
