Re: medieval tools
Galun,
I like it, nice attention to details. I envy your talent of capturing lost (or at least old) details within a high tech media. Just wondering, could these be the seeds of the virtual museum of the future? Eldon |

Re: medieval tools
Very nice --- the geometry and texturing are fantastic. This is a beautiful looking piece.
The only thing I'd recommend changing is some of the texture coordinates. I hope you don't mind that I grabbed a portion of the image for illustration purposes. In the attached images, I circled a few examples of where the pattern looked too "repeated". The texture itself looks fine, but if you were to select these areas and move them in the Texture Coordinate Editor, it would more than likely be practically unnoticeable that the same texture was being used on each surface. Lovely piece -- look forward to seeing more! |

Re: medieval tools
Dennis, you're right, I was a bit lazy with the texture coords.
Another object in the collection is a workbench (higher resolution: ftp://www.duffy1.franken.de/workbench.png) : Last edited by Galun; 25th January 2007 at 11:34 AM. |

Re: medieval tools
The next project is a sawmill and I started with the mechanics.
And it's not for a virtual museum but for an MMORPG. Last edited by Galun; 26th January 2007 at 09:21 AM. |
