Can Hidden Objects Be Made to Remain Hidden When File Reopened?

Hello,

I hid some objects in an AC3D file but noticed that when I saved, closed, and opened the file, the hidden objects were no longer hidden.

Is there a way to make an object's hidden property permanent until it is manually unhidden by, for example, clicking on the eye icon?
