Default Cutting objects in two.

*klaxons* Noob alert.

2nd day of using AC3D. Still reading? Awesome! I want to mirror a particular shape, say a wing of a plane, so I can take the duplicate shape and put it on the other end of the fuselage.

In playing with the program, I've discovered the mirror function. Works great, but it groups the mirrored shape with the original shape. Is there any way to prevent this, or if not, split them into two shapes? Or is there a more appropriate way of what I'm trying to get at?

You rule in advance.
