Group does not work

Hello,

Trying to use group. I choose 'Select all' and the objects shows as selected.
But the buttons 'Group/unGroup' stays greyed out.
Then tried group from Hierarchy-dialog.
There a dialog says: Group - select two or more objects

Edited: Again I was in the wrong selection mode. The buttons in the Hierachy-dialog should also be greyed out when not in group select mode!
