Where can you find good 3-view drawings, for references to use for modeling, and 4-view, so I can model the bottom also, if I need to?

(WARNING: NUDITY, NOT SEXUAL IN NATURE)
This site is the hands-down best 3D reference site for character artists I've ever run across: http://www.3d.sk/ The guy literally takes hundreds of high-resolution photographs from every conceivable angle of a single subject... including reference images for each phoneme and other important animation poses, all labelled. All of the models are standing in a T-pose or other standard reference pose. On a few of the models, he even drew the edge loops on the subject before photographing them. The photos are so high-resolution, you can make out the reflection of the studio in the subject's eyes in many of the shots. The subscription is a bit pricey for causal artists, but well worth it if you make a lot of models or skins. Some high-res sample images and the most of the low-resolution thumbnails are freely available. |

Thanks.
I'm mostly looking for cars and planes right now, character modeling seems to advanced for me. |

The best place to get reference for cars is usually the manufacturer's website. It's become very in vouge to put Flash or QTVR previews of the cars in the "build your [Audi\Scion\Lotus\whatever]" car configurator. Just rotate the preview to your view of choice, hit print-screen, and you've got yourself a great background for building.

thats a good idea.
for older cars, my best bet is to probably hit up the library. can't find a detailed drawing of the new cessna 182's. I've been to there site, and can't get a good side, front, top |
