Default Can't make lizards tale look less like a scorpians tail.

Here are some pictures of the tail. http://pntbalg.shackspace.com/Susescorpianthing.png http://pntbalg.shackspace.com/Susescorpianthing2.png
2 things, how do I make a tail, that doesn't look like it came from a scorpian. I did that tail by linking a bunch of spheres together, and trying to mold them together, I guess successfully, which brings me to another question. How do I make them more smooth looking, and less a pain in the ass. Thanx in advance!

an easyer way to make a tail, would be to create a box, extrude and rotate one end till it looks like the tail.
then use object->subdevision to make it smooth.

Use Tools->object-property-editor and set the crease angle to 180 to ensure that it's all smooth.

1) First create a box:

2) Select one surface of the box, thats 'pointing' out(where the tail will attach)

3) Extrude out.

4) Adjust Rotation/Size/Location

5) Repeat 2-4 until you have a tail shape.

6) In Object Selection mode, select your tail, and goto Tools>Object Property Editor. Adjust the subdevision preview bar to 1, 2 or 3.

Done. you have a smoothed tail. Have fun.

Ok, it worked to an extent, but I believe my problem now, is on my hardware. Which is a 480Mhz P3, 128megs of ram, with swap. And a neomagic 4 meg laptop graphics outputer. << That may be the problem, but then again I don't know. So plz take a look at my site, its called tail.ac http://pntbalg.shackspace.com/tail.ac Sry, but I couldn't get slackware back online, and now my damnsmall linux doesn't have a snapshot program to use.

heres your problem:

When your in Extrude mode, Notice the three check boxes on the tool pannel(left hand side o screen) under the 'Mode' frame.
make sure that 'Remove Original' is ON, 'Flip New Surfaces' is OFF, and 'Cap End' is ON
