Default Transparent Water Reflection

Does anyone know how to do this in AC3D?
I think this artist is fabulous and would like to mimic some of his ideas

You might fake the reflections with a texture or by flipping a duplicate of the scene upside down and making the floor slightly transparent.

Really, though, reflections are usually done in the rendering program. e.g. Something like POV-Ray.

Here's a list of free, stand-alone renderers:

If you click Render in AC3D (F7 is the shortcut key), you can set it up to communicate with one of these renders.

Thanks Lisa, I have that page already. I just cant seen to learn PovRay. Too much coding. I really dislike writing script. I used to do it in an online game years ago.

Too bad AC3D doesnt have its own rendering program with button control.

Hint hint.

How is Vray? Is it hard to learn?

VRay is pretty popular, but I don't use it very much myself so I'm probably not the best person to give an opinion on it.

About 90% of what I do is "real-time" work (games) so I'm nearly always using my own renderer, even for stills. Other than that, I most often use POVRay, Firefly or Terragen/T2.
