Move/scale the background does not work?
I've added a background image to use as a reference. I want to scale this image, but Alt-Shift-up/down arrow does not work as advertised: it moves the view instead of scaling it (similar to right-click-drag).
Am I doing something wrong here? (AC3D 6.8.14 on Mac OSX) Thanks, Last edited by Hobbes; 9th August 2011 at 01:14 PM. |

Re: Move/scale the background does not work?
Since Shift + arrow keys is the command to move the background image, my guess is that your Shift key is not being recognized as held down.
Did you try the Shift key on the other side of the keyboard (I realize this is a bit of a "wristbuster")? And also, it's important to note that while you're using the arrow keys for moving and resizing the image, the mouse pointer must be somewhere within the same viewport as the background image, or nothing at all will happen.

Re: Move/scale the background does not work?
I've found it.
Command+cursor moves the background image Command+Shift+cursor scales the background image That's unusual; the Option key is used more commonly as the Alt key replacement. Stiglr, thanks for the tip. Hobbes |
