Default Gelato

Hi all,

I tried to use the new Renderer Gelato from NVIDIA with AC3D.
First you must Export in Renderman (Rib) Format. But when i render
the rib File is rendered without Textures.

Can anyone help me?

Best wishes

Go to File->Settings->files and switch on rib textures. Let us know how it goes with that renderer.

The rib output was tested with BMRT a long time ago. Can you provide more info on what happens- i.e. are there texture commands in the file AC3D outputs? Does any texture appear at all? Do you get any error messages from the renderer?

That you can see it better i made a simple box and set a texture.
I have export it in rib format.

I made a Screenshot with output.

I forgot...

There are no Error Messages from the renderer.
The color and the view of the camera are ok.
Only the texture is missing

what does the 'warning: gelato running in basic mode' type message in the command line mean?

I am not sure but i think it means that it is the free version, because there are a Pro Version too.

With the Renderer comes a programm with which you can test the renderer.
The warning is in the test too, but the test is OK.

It seems that there are no texture commands at all in the rib file created by AC3D.

You found a bug.

You can fix the problem.

Edit tcl/ac3dprefs.tcl, find the line:

Code:
label_bool $wf prefs_output_rib_textures "Output RIB (Renderman) textures" "Output textures/UV coordinates in Renderman RIB files (untested)"
change 'prefs_output_rib_textures' to 'prefs_rib_textures'

AC3D should then recognise you want textures generated in rib files

Let me know how you get on.
