Default .::Help Needed::.

Hey there. Being bored, I decided to blow the dust off of AC3d. So im looking at objects around the house, and I started building in AC3d. So I have a lamp. And I got everything going well. But what I dont know how to do, and what I seem to be stuck at is. See at the bottom of included image? thats not my lamp, but I can explain the problem viewing this one. How do i make that bottom round of like that, then come back up?

As you can see in the image, the lamps bottom kinda forms a heart, and also goes back up. Any help is greatly appreciated. If you could also keep it 2nd grade level , cause im not the brightest crayon in the box, and dont know ac3d as well.

Hm, that looks like a toughie. I'd use the "Extrude along path" tool. Just make a generic polygon and a line to serve as the path the polygon will follow. Select the polygon and then the path (I think it's that order, I don't use the tool often anymore) and click the extrude along path button. Scaling the polygon down for each level will be a bit tricker, though.

Or instead of the path tool you could use this exellent plugin. Just do as captain said, but instead of the "extrud along path", use the plugin.

I opened up the folder, but there was a few places where .tcl files were, and I wasnt sure where to put this, or the other one that came with it. 20 minutes. Wow thats awesome. I need those skills.
