Is there a way to turn a mesh inside out? What Im thinking is how to put the grooves in a gun barrel..Any ideas?

If I am understanding what you want to do... Can you not model it outside-in then choose all surfaces and flip normals, thus turning it inside-out?

It'll be easy in the new AC3D6
For now its a bit laboured. I'd think about only the inner cylinder. You can merge the outside later. Check out your Learning Guide for the revolve function. To do a spiral add an amount to the offset box. Try a couple of tests and you'll soon work it out.
