Default QuickGrid

Hi all,

You might like this plugin if you work on a model that lends itself to having gridsnap on...

I grew weary of going to "File | Settings..." and entering a numeric value every time I wanted to change my grid size in AC3D, so I wrote a plugin that lets me change the grid size in AC3D with a single click (assuming you keep this window open).

Hope someone else might be able to use this. Very handy for modeling architecture.

The sizes are configurable by editing a text file. See the download for details:

Unfortunately for those not running AC3D on a Windows platform, I only have a Windows version compiled. However, the source code is included, so you have enough to compile it yourself if you have the tools. The source is freely distributed and I don't mind at all if someone wants to compile under a different platform and distribute it themselves.

Happy AC3D'ing...

Brilliant idea! Should come in handy with aircraft, too!

Thanks!

Thanks for the comments Stiglr. I've posted a newer version that no longer relies on the quickgrid.p file (there's a new thread for it) --- that should work for all platforms for AC3D.
