Smile Placing a building on a dirt mound

Hi there, new to AC3D. Building KMAE for X-Plane 10. I had done this for FSX using 3DCrafter. The KMAE Admin. Building sits on top of a man-made mound (270' x 70' x 6'). But when I exported to X-Plane, the building would sink down to the base "surface plane". So I decided to start from scratch. I have the mound made. I was wondering about making the top of the mound a harden surface, then place the building on the top surface or would it be better to extrude the base of the building from the top surface of the mound. (if so how would I do this) or is there another method of attaching the building to the mound. Thanks
