Question Baking normals from floating geometry

Could someone do a tutorial on baking normals from floating geometry in Ac3d, like this turorial from eat3d. The one on eat3d is based off of Blender and I cannot seem to replicate this in Ac3d.

The link that you provided doesn't seem to lead to anything.

Exclamation Re: Baking normals from floating geometry

I know this an old thread, but I still for the life of me cannot get proper normals from Ac3d.

Strange that the link doesn't work for you, it works for me, but here is the url http://eat3d.com/free/floating_geo

I have searched the internet intensely and can't find any good tutorials on getting normals from Ac3d.

I found the link and it worked correctly for me this time. AC3D is a simpler program than what was demo'd in the link. AC3D can create an image that look like high-poly count, but is actually a fairly low-poly count. It does not, however, have any feature like "baking normals".

Andy Colebourne ("Andy" on the ac3d Forum web site) might be able to compare the features of ac3D with programs that "bake normals".

I have since downloaded xNormal and am learning how to use it in combo with Ac3d. Seems pretty straight forward at this point.
I think it's just best to stick with xNormal for baking now.

Thanks for the reply Terry.
