Default Lighting

The current lighting facilities are limited and I'd like to see some enhancements that follows the OpenGL syntax.


Example code:

{
type = "lighting"
enabled = true
local_viewer = true
two_sided = true
ambient = {0.55, 00.85, 0.75, 1.0}
}

Description:

Used to set the reflective values from the material.

* enabled = boolean. Set to true to enable lighting.
* local_viewer = boolean. If true viewer will see reflections according to eye line.
* two_sided = boolean. If true uses back and front lighting, else front only.
* ambient = table with 4 numbers. Defines an RGBA color, with values ranging from 0 to 1.

Default states:

* enabled = true
* local_viewer = false
* two_sided = false
* ambient = {0.2, 0.2, 0.2, 1.0}

Could these elements be added to the properties of the light function?

Bump.

Any comments here that could make lighting better.

It is possible to set up lights in 3ds files, so wouldn't it be good to do in AC3D?

Actually thinking about this, would it be possible to have and objects property set to prevent light from travelling through it or to be able to adjust it transluance? Sort of like a lamp shade?

This way the light, at full power can be controlled by a shape and lens.
