Trial crashes when saving -- Win 7 32 bit

Good afternoon,

I download and installed the trial, but it looks like it crashes every time I try to "Save as" or when i Export to "Second Life Sculpted Prim".

Even with no modification at all to the models suplied on the library.

I run AC3D, then File/Object Library..I select one of the sculpty objects from there.

It loads to the screen, no problem, but if I try to Save it as an AC3D file or I try to
export it ... it just crashes.

Is this some kind of limitation of the trial ?

Pls note I'm running AC3D on a 32 bit Win 7 Ultimate box.
