Default Disappearing Normals at large scale

I've got kind of a problem. I'm modeling large scale in order to model at the same scale as UnrealEd. I have the major grid set at 128 and the minor grid set at 16 which mimics the UnrealEd grid.

But at that scale I can barely see the normals unless I zoom in almost microscopicaly close. They are tiny.

I was wondering if there was a way I could set the normals to display bigger? Maybe lengthen the lines by a factor of ten or more.

I can always model at a smaller scale and then scale everything up at the end but I'd like to avoid that if possible.

Change file->settings->appearance-size-of-display-normals.
