Default Master objects

Hi,

is it possible to make duplicates of objects, that are only references? That means, if I chage the texture coordinates of the shape of a master object, the duplicate-links will change as well.
That's pretty nice for creating a model first and applying a texture later without having to apply textures to every column in a temple e.g.
If you want to edit a linked object, you should be asked if you want to create a new master or chnage the master of it.
RayDreamStudio and Carrara Studio have such objects. Quite nice.
Anyway, AC3D is the best low-poly modeller for a game that's available below 1k$. I'm waiting for my credit card impaciently to purchase it. Afterwards I promise to write a .ddd GLBasic 3D file export filter and extend the md2 filter to export glcommands. That's important for many import filters and md2 tutorial programs available.

There are no 'linked' objects as you mention but remember that it's easy to select more than one object and apply color/texture to both at the same time. It's also easy to duplicate and position copies at any time.
