Default Colored lines.. help please?

usually when i make models using normal lines, and adding surfaces.. the lines are a lot brigter than the surfaces. if the object's color is white, and i add a texture, the white lines can be seen really, really well.. any way to get rid of the lines?

i do know of a way to get rid of the lines but, thats by changing the object to poly.. but.. well, take a look on the picture. to the left when they're normal lines.. (cant really see the lines too well on the picture). and then the right pic, i change it to poly, the lines disapears but, well u can see.

any help would be apreciated..

Ensure the surfaces are single sided (1S button on control panel).
If nothing is selected, and you are not displaying surface-outlines, the 3d image should be pretty good.
