what are the tricks for giving a mesh thickness?
the way i use to give mesh thickness is bevel , however bevel persist to give thickness to mesh per surface and that creates a lot of unnecessary surfaces/vertices, any smart way/trick(s) to thicken the object as a whole not its surfaces ?
of course the application to that may vary, creating contents such as cloths and furniture and several objects that should be hollow from inside. Last edited by nIGHTmAYOR; 12th February 2012 at 07:14 AM. |

Thats a bit dependent on the object for my part, but I usually use the extrude by normal, and unselects the remove original. But again, its different from object to object.
