Default Vertex Weights/Colouring

Hi. Is this something that can be added to AC3D?

Thanks
Phil

Not easily sorry. What are you wanting to use vertex colors with?

I'm making airports for AeroFly Fs2 and I need to control the visibility of textures in AeroFly which I'm told is determined by the vertex weight. Is there some other attribute available I could ask the AeroFly guys to use as an alternative for this info? Or some other approach you might suggest?

It sounds like they are using the vertex weight for other, per vertex, attribute values - rather than real vertex weights (which are normally used in animation)?

I believe the IPACS guys use their own custom AC3D plugin. I've not seen it but I'd recommend storing extra attributes in the data string (or the URL string) for each object. This is how X-Plane stores the object info in AC3D.
