Can Yafray be used to render ?

If the name is an amalgom of something and "raytracer" then probably yes, to my knowledge it should be capable of rendering in a raytracer capacity.

Yafray means "Yet Another Free RAYtracer".
And he can use Blender to import his models, and then render them with yafray.
