the main problem is that i didnt know you can click and drag things in the hierarchy tab because apparently it only works if you drag something to an object.

did you see the big DC-8 upgrade? its still using your airfoils

Yes, you basically need to drag the animation group onto an object in the target group. Also be aware that it must be BELOW any rotation/translation commands of the target group. You can build rather elaborate animations that way.
I built animations with a dozen nested groups - no problem for XP.

Yes, I saw the update. There's excellent airfoil data available btw. You can search for DSMA-87 (mid-semi-span) or DSMA-128 (inboard) and the DSMA-277 for the 4% extended midspan airfoil.
